The second round of the National Rally Championship (NRC) will kick off this weekend in the Greater Masaka region. The event will take place from Saturday, April 13-14 with a super special stage at the E-Villas in Kalisiizo covering a total competitive distance of 110.51km. The first round took place in Mbarara back in February and was won by Jas Mangat and co-driver Joseph Kamya in their Hyundai i20. There are more entries in the 2WD category and will be interesting to see who wins in that category. Yasin Nasser and co-driver Ali Katumba won the Masaka rally last year, and Duncan Mubiru won it the year before: Ponsiano Lwakataka has high hopes of winning it this time as the event is organized by the Southern Motor Club (SMC) which is his club and Masaka is his home. It will be interesting to see how the crew navigates stages as Jas Mangat and Enoch Olinga are also ready. Shell’s Ronald Ssebuguzi co-driven by Anthony Mugambwa are also set to take part as is Jonas Kansiime and co-driver Ronald Bukenya.
