Ponsiano Lwakataka and Adam Rauf Return as Round Three of the National Rally Championship Heads Hoima this Weekend

The third round of the National Rally Championship (NRC) is headed to Hoima from 09-11 June and returning to the rallying scene is two-time NRC champion Ponsiano Lwakataka and one of the most entertaining drivers-Adam Rauf.

Organized by the Central Motor Club (CMC), the Kabalega rally happening in Hoima this weekend will surely be a treat for the fans as Ponsiano Lwakataka with co-driver Paul Musaazi are back on the rallying scene in their Subaru Impreza. Lwakataka has been absent from motorsport since mid-2022 after being sentenced to fourteen months in prison. It will also be a treat for the fans and competitors to have him back in the mix…

Making his return to rallying for the first time since 2020, is Adan Essa Rauf, one of the most entertaining fan drivers, loved by fans for his incredible speed. It will be interesting to see how he will measure up against other drivers. This round has also brought out Peter Businge, who has not been on the scene in a long while.

Also taking part will be youngsters Ali Mohammed navigated by his brother Ahmed Mohammed Anees, the sons of long-time rally driver Dr. Ashraf. The young brothers are slowly embarking on the NRC and hopefully by season end, they will be much better than they began.

Drivers will do the scrutineering on Friday, June 09^th and the rally will kick off on the 10^th  with a competitive distance of 113.47km.
