Jasmeet Chana and co-driver brother Ravi Chana scored their first 2023 Kenya National Rally Championship (KNRC) win of this season in the Nakuru rally, which was the third round on the KNRC calendar. The crew did a total time of 02:06:34.7 in their Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 10 in a total competitive distance of 155.76km.
There were eight competitors on the start list but only four of them completed the event. The Chana brothers won their first KNRC rally this season with a time difference of 14:22.1 from the crew that came in second. The crew won a total of four stages; SS1, SS2, SS3, and SS7. This puts them way ahead on the standings from their competitors.
Hamza Anwar and co-driver Adnan Din came in second place with a total time of 02:20:56.8 in their Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 10. The crew won two stages; SS4 and SS5.
In third place was Amman Shah co-driven by Rahil Shah with a total time of 02:34:51.4 in their Subaru Impreza.
The last crew to finish the event was Shakeel Khan co-driven by Assad Mughal with a total time of 02:45:09.4 in their Ford Escort.
Nikhil Sachania and co-driver Deep Patel suffered an accident with an animal in SS4 causing them to retire from the event. Hajee Ghalib and co-driver Ismail Riyaz retired in SS5, Anwar Asad and co-driver Shameer Yusuf retired in SS5, and Kush Patel with co-driver Mudasar Chaudry retired in SS3.
The fourth round of the KNRC will be the Safari rally which is also on the World Rally Championship (WRC) calendar as their seventh event of the season.
