Drivers Getting Ready to Battle It Out in Masaka This Weekend for Fifth Round of the National Rally Championship

The fifth round of the Uganda National Rally Championship (NRC) is set for this weekend to start with scrutineering and a ceremonial start on Friday, 11 August. The event was launched on 8^th August and this round will be run in the Greater Masaka region with a circuit at the E-Villas in Kalisiizo at the end of day one. The event will cover a total competitive distance of 134.53km with nine stages.

Southern Motor Club (SMC) is organizing this round, dubbed the Bam Petroleum SMC challenge rally.

Making this round different will be Stefano Velari, a driver from Ethiopia who will be driving a Subaru Impreza, it will be interesting to see how he ranks up alongside the locals.

Fans will also look forward to seeing Ponsiano Lwakataka back in his element on home grounds as he last competed in Hoima.
